DMZ Docs Fest in Suwon - Docu&Music Festival

In partnership with Suwon Special City, this event aims to extend the reach and impact of the 16th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival while offering increased engagement opportunities for residents in southern Gyeonggi Province. Set in the "Jaeminan Bat" (joyful garden) area of Gwanggyo Lake Park, this multifaceted cultural festival showcases a carefully curated selection of content. Featuring documentary screenings, live performances, and insightful talks with directors, the event is designed to appeal to a wide audience.

KIM Heegap is a legendary composer who has composed over 3,000 popular songs in Korea, including Memory of the Sea by Key Boys, Leopards of Kilimanjaro by CHO Yongpil, and Nostalgia by LEE Dongwon and PARK Insu. The documentary has been shot since 2014, and it spotlights life of KIM, the history of Korean popular songs featuring voices and songs of popular singers, and stories of people who have been living with those songs.

COMPOSER | KIM Heegap

KIM Heegap is a composer who released the first composition collection titled ¡¸Love, My Love¡¹ in 1967. KIM also composed Memory of the Sea by Key Boys, I Did Not Know by IM Heesuk, White Magnolia by YANG Heeeun, Passion by Hyeeunyee, Song of Ivory by SONG Changsik, Ta-Ta-Ta by KIM Gukhwan, Maze of Love by CHOI Jinhee, and ¡¸Nostalgia¡¹ by LEE Dongwon and PARK Insu. He also composed soundtrack of Empress Myeongseong that spread Korean musical globally.

A documentary writer and a producer of broadcasting and films. The main works as a writer are On The Road, Marianne and Margaret, Our President, and Kim-Gun and main works as a producer are Underground and The Red Herring. Words from the Wind is the first work as a director.

Performance
