The Academy Program

The Academy Program provides documentary screening opportunities to students majoring in film¤ýmedia¤ýhumanities, as well as film club members and researchers, through the issuance of Academy Badges.
Recommended titles selected by DMZ Docs programmers serve as a foundation for in-depth documentary discourse, while a range of tailored program events enrich participants¡¯ festival experience.
Launched in 2022, the program has steadily expanded in both scope and scale. In 2025, with approximately 200 participants expected, the Academy Program will mark a significant milestone in deepening awareness and understanding of documentary cinema and the festival itself.

Voyage to the DMZ Docs

Voyage to the DMZ Docs is an immersive workshop where participants explore the entire documentary production process firsthand alongside a mentor. It brings together creators and citizens to collaborate, experiment with new approaches to documentary filmmaking, and vividly showcase the diverse aspects of the festival. The mentor for the first Field Crew is acclaimed documentary director Eung-su Kim.

Online Screening The completed film will be released on the festival¡¯s official channel
