Following the tune of Gujiga, one of the oldest songs in Korea, the film explores the tortoise of the poem in the shamanistic, symbolic, and ecological perspectives. In the meantime, it quietly reveals human violence against tortoises. As an ode to the tortoise, the film reminds us of the long human-animal relationship.
