This special program is a continuation of ¡®Topography of Asian Documentary: 50 Voices of Korean Documentary¡¯ that started out in 2019.
This year, it attempts to expand into the origins, genealogy, and author theory to lay the foundation for research in Asian and Korean documentaries.
First of all, it aims to refresh the spirit and attitude of documentarians with a special exhibition that outlines the work of the young mastermind from Japan,
Soda Kazuhiro, who has established an unrivaled world of observational documentaries.
Furthermore, it aims to expand the history of Korean documentaries through a special program that outlines the history and significance of the Labor News Production,
which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Another special program is designed to introduce Italian documentaries, which are relatively less known in Korea.
The program focuses on the allegorical genealogy of Italian documentaries, centered on Pietro Marcello in hopes to provide a special discovery.
The Labor News Production is a very important link in the history of early Korean independent documentary. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Labor News Production, the Cine Talk reflects upon its history from outside and within.
