Synopsis

Two individuals engage in conversation as they watch the unfolding results of the 2007 presidential election. At the same time, video clips symbolizing the director's stream of consciousness are seamlessly woven into the narrative.

Review

In 2007, while looking at the results of the South Korean presidential election, there's a conversation taking place. Interspersed within are snippets of footage showcasing the history of South Korean presidential elections and the records of various presidents. The continuous dialogue unfolding on a single monitor becomes a scene from the repetitive yet evolving history of South Korea's regime changes. The Japanese proverb "The Fool Doesn't Catch a Cold" implies that a fool may not realize even if they catch a cold, or that a cold might avoid a fool. This concept seems to resonate in this context. The two actors, Lee Kang-hyun and Heo Sung-ho, are close colleagues of the director, individuals who collectively pondered over the film. Through their collaboration, what kind of "fool" were they aiming to reveal?
