Uman Therma is a member of the electronic music duo ‘Salamanda’. She, along with her colleague Yetsuby, draws inspiration for their music from everything that surrounds her - landscapes, sounds, and events. Director Kim Jimin intertwines moments that constitute Uman Therma's daily life, painting a portrait of a young musician. Though the conversations and images might seem fragmentary at first glance, they trail off and expand in a manner akin to free association. However, Catching Tails does not try to reduce this into a linear narrative, instead, it sculpts it into a multidimensional portrait. The result is a character essay that showcases perceptive and liberated observations.
