Synopsis

An article is shared in an online community suggesting the use of **¡¯s sanitary pads when traveling due to a perceived reduction in menstrual flow. KWEN conducts an investigation into volatile organic compounds(VOCs) found in menstrual pads, which can potentially affect women's health. Subsequently, a legal notice arrives from the court stating that the menstrual pad manufacturer has filed a compensation lawsuit against KWEN seeking 1 billion won in damages.

Review

In 2017, the Korean Women¡¯s Environmental Network publicized the results of harmful substance testing on sanitary pads. However, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety¡¯s experiment and government office inspection denied the fairness of the test. While the women¡¯s movement claimed the establishment of a system for healthier bodies, government agencies and national systems prioritized corporate profits. My Body My Proof is the record of a movement that revealed and overcame the limitations of the argument that current science and law are objective and fair. It is also proof that clearly shows that the actual power to change the systems in a better direction is composed by citizens.
