Jee-won, who was bullied at school 10 years ago, goes back to the place and nds the assailants. However, the lm is not a determined undertaking. The format is not that different from other high school reminiscence lms. Also Jeewon is not looking for something surprising. She is just curious. Jee-won, who is in her mid-twenties, has a habit of ending her speech with uncer taint y, such as ¡°may be...¡± ¡°seems so...¡±. As the lm unfolds, her memor y seems unclear and full of errors as well. She is embarrassed. The filmmakers say they wanted to talk about the utterly selfish and subjective memory of ours. Nevertheless, we can trust the lm which does not hide from the truth. No matter what the truth is, You Were There honestly tries to face immature and hurtful memories. (LEE Yong-cheol)
