Synopsis
How he stops concern about his father and moves it to himself. Starting from the figure of a guy who is playing the guitar with a marvelous technique, The Battle of the Jazz Guitarist describes a dedication to a father and genius guitarist famous for ¡°Fiji¡¯s Jimi HENDRIXS¡± once. The film tells about his eager and persistence as an artist which made him never to give up his dream even if the reality made him wait for the pursuit (of it), but in moments, it goes over things about the son, the director and narrator himself, like the recollection of his childhood, regrets, and confessions as a film student. Interesting is the form. The figure of the father who is sitting in front of a blue screen and being immersed in himself playing the guitar floridly is superposed with the director¡¯s narrations and subtitles, which, by the way, are as hilarious as silly. The film portrays amusingly but intensely the two different - like Jazz and electronics - father and son¡¯s or artists¡¯ inner collisions and struggles one of whom still is dreaming with all the obstacles or is making the first step toward his dream.
