Although Mark suffers from a heart disease, his dream is to become the best motor-cyclist in the world. But his life of 8 years is haunted by shadows of death. When he was born, the doctor told his parents he would not live for more than 20 minutes. His only sister, Jackie, suffers from sever allergies that can cause hyper-sensitive shock. His grandfather died of cancer, and his mother has been in the hospital because of the same disease. But Mark jumps over those barriers of death with ease. He decorates his room with the x-ray images of a thigh injury he got from riding a motorcycle, and he is so brave as he goes through his check-ups. He doesn’t settle for less than first place in every motorcycle competition he joins. We feel pity and shame at the same time, seeing how mature that little boy is. Mark says, “I’m never afraid”.
