  Michel Gondry began his filmmaking career directing music videos for famous artists. In 2001, Gondry made his feature-film directorial debut from a screenplay from Charlie Kaufman. Gondry went on to write and direct well-known films and directed the documentary concert film of Dave Chappelle's .
