HA Saet-byul
Saet-byul remembers the sanitation workers on campus while she is worrying about her future after graduation. Her camera follows their struggles for labor rights and interprets current labor conditions in South Korea from the 88 manwon generation¡¯s perspective. Her confession, ¡°I thought my life was totally separated from their lives as a worker,¡± reveals that the virtue of documentary is nothing but the moment of empathy with the object.
