In 2021, amid the fervor of a protest demanding the passage of the Anti-Discrimination Law, five directors found common ground. Young, queer feminists, media activists, and writers, they resolved to channel the echoes of the protest into their own lives and experiences. What Bonds Us, an omnibus film born out of solidarity, offers a glimpse into the potential for collective action within Korean documentary filmmaking.
