DMZ Docs Academy

DMZ DOCS operates an academy combining documentary screenings and lectures to provide diverse contents. In-depth screenings and discussion courses would deepen the understanding of the documentary, and there will also be the lecture sessions with the experts. The documentary will be selected with the theme of various topics from daily life.

Senior Audience Group 'DOCUPHILE'

DMZ DOCS operated a Senior Audience Group 'DOCUPHILE', in cooperation with the Media Centers in Gyeonggi Region to provide opportunities to senior generations to become more familiar with documentaries. The program includes documentary screening, lectures on documentaries, and writing own critiques and is designed to support seniors to participate in the festival.



Available at Goyang, Paju, Bucheon, Gunpo, Namyangju, Gimpo, and Uijeongbu City

Cine-Salon: Wednesday with Documentary

‘Cine-Salon: Wednesday with Documentary’ is for the local audience in their twenties and thirties to raise interests in documentaries. It is a program with monthly documentary screenings and discussions sessions to maintain communication and solidarity through documentaries.

Visiting Lectures with Professionals

Visiting Lectures with Professionals is a program for schools, civic groups, and local communities, available with pre-registration in advance. Documentary directors, producers, and professionals who expertise in themes and subjects of each documentary will visit the site and give lectures to provide a fun and more accessible way to meet documentaries.

Open Lecture ‘DOCU’

Following the success of last year, Open Lecture ‘DOCU’ will meet the audience again this year. The lecture is a program that provides reinterpretations of the art documentaries. The stories of documentaries with various arts like music, dance, fashion, and photography will be unfolded by the professionals of the field.
