The life of Mongol reindeer herders crystallizes through the shaman ritual. It reflects their ancient obsession with nature as well as traumatic events of the Communist history. For nomads, all of their current diseases and ailments are the result of demons spawned by Communism and Soviet repressions. Only shamans can keep them under control.
