The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival that you can enjoy all through the year!

The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival permanently operates ‘Archive’ to meet various audiences through documentary films except the film festival period. The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival Archive has 216 documentary films that were released in the theaters last year including the screenings of the last film festivals. If you submit the application form to us by selecting the pieces of work that you want to watch, the DVDs and work contents will be offered to you.

What is Archive?
Archive means ‘the information warehouse that collected and stored information of specific genres’ and ‘the storage and management of data by collecting them in one place. In the wider application, it means the general activities to create new values by utilizing accumulated archive information.

Qualification

  • The small screenings for less than 40 persons planned for the nonprofit and educational purposes

Procedure for using DVDs in Archive

  • Download the Archive list or search the pieces of work recommended by Archive.
  • Download the application form and submit to docsforedu@dmzdocs.com (Can apply for it one month before the required screening date).
  • Send the DVD after reviewing it in the film festival (The film festival bears the delivery fee to send it.)
  • Watch the DVD and arrange the screening.
  • Send the arranged photos and the number of viewers to us at (docsforedu@dmzdocs.com).
  • Return the DVD to the service bureau within 3 days after arranging the screening (The applicant bears the delivery fee for the return.)

Cautions

  • The DVD rental service cannot be done if it is difficult to be judged to be shown for the nonprofit and education purposes when the film festival internally review the application form.
  • The applicant cannot use the materials other than the purpose written in the application form and lend them to other persons randomly. (The applicant must pay for damage if he/she causes damage to the service bureau of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival by violating it.)
  • The applicant cannot damage or amend contents of the movie.
  • The applicant must not make illegal copies of the movie.

DMZ Cinema, the Documentary Film Hall

The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival provides DMZ Cinema, the Documentary Film Hall for you to meet documentary films that have difficulties in releasing them in the theater and securing it easily. If you submit an application form of the movie that you want to watch to us by selecting it in the pieces of work in Archive, you can watch various 216 documentary films by visiting DMZ Cinema in the service bureau of the film festival.

Qualification

  • Individuals or groups (Maximum 10 persons) who try to watch the pieces of work in Archive

 

Hours of operation

  • Weekdays 10:00-17:00

* 12:00-13:00 You cannot use it at lunchtime.
* Screening must be finished before the closing time (17:00).

Location

  • Service Bureau of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (4th floor, Goyang Terminal, 1036, Jungang-ro, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, 10450, Republic of Korea)

Procedure for using Archive

  • Download the Archive list or search the pieces of work recommended by Archive.
  • Select a piece of work and submit the application form to us (Can apply for it one month to one week before the required screening date).
  • Send the applicant a text message about the possibility of screening after reviewing it in the film festival
  • Visit the service bureau and watch the DVD.

Cautions

  • The DVD rental service cannot be done if you do not write the purposes for using Archive.
  • The applicant cannot use the materials other than the purpose written in the application form and lend them to other persons randomly. (The applicant must pay for damage if he/she causes damage to the service bureau of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival by violating it.)
  • The applicant cannot damage or amend contents of the movie.
  • The applicant must not make illegal copies of the movie.
  • The users are responsible for damage of facilities and furniture and cannot do behaviors that interrupt others (loud singing, the use of firearms, and food inside Archive)
  • Please cancel the application 3 days before the required screening date if you cannot participate in watching the movie. Your use of the space and DVD rental service can be limited if you do not participate in watching the movie without the previous cancellation.
